Local
News
In my final semester at BU,
I joined the pioneering Newsroom program run by Brian McGrory and Steve Greenlee, former editors of the Boston Globe and the Portland Press Herald, respectively. The class operated as a real-life newsroom. Each student paired with a local news outlet in the Greater Boston area. I worked with Brookline News.
DOCUMENTARY
AND
BROADCAST

In my Filmmaking for Journalists class, we learned how to capture technically-excellent footage that tells a meaningful story. I shot, edited, and color-graded this video focused on a skatepark near campus. While creating this, I met a mountain bike rider who uses the pump track to train. He became one of the main subjects.

For my final project in my Visual Storytelling class, I chose to document the final day of shooting for BUTV's Bay State in the 2024 spring semester. It is the longest-running student soap opera. I interviewed the general manager of BUTV, the director of the episode, and one of the actors about their experience contributing to the show.

My partner Adelle and I created this news package in Salem, Massachusetts for our Reporting in Audio and Video class. We focused on the businesses generating more revenue during Salem's peak tourist season around Halloween. We utilized b-roll and interviews to create a professional-level news package. One of the best sources we obtained was the Mayor of Salem, Dominick Pangallo.
